CODE OF UNDERSTANDING
The Brussels Griffon Breeder Placement Program requires that any individual posting a Brussels Griffon must follow the terms listed below:
➢ This site is for breeders wishing to place a puppy, retired show dog, retired breeding bitch, special needs dog from your breeding program, or dogs you have bred that you have taken back. It can also be a dog that you have in your permanent care due to illness or unfortunate circumstance of another club member.
➢ In good standing with the American Kennel Club.
➢ A member in good standing with any one of the following organizations:
- The Brussels Griffon AKC approved parent club
- The National Brussels Griffon Club
- Liberty Brussels Griffon Club
➢ All older dogs offered on site must be altered or spayed before going to the receiver. All pet puppies offered on the site must be altered or have an altering contract.
➢ The person placing the ad must be the breeder or co-breeder, owner or co-owner of record, or individual
currently caring for the animal.
➢ The animals must be current on all shots, worming, teeth maintenance, ear and eye care. A medical record must be available to the receiver should they request to see it.
➢ Medical conditions must be revealed. The wording for the site does not need to name the need, but must contain the wording “special medical needs” or “special personality needs”.
➢ A fee can be obtained for the animal.
➢ It is your responsibility to see that you meet all legal requirements for the sale of a dog in your state.
➢ Exceptions will be given in certain cases. Requests must be submitted in writing to carole@zingersworld.com.
The Brussels Griffon Breeder Placement Program has been organized by private individuals and is not connected to any of the clubs listed above.
The Brussels Griffon Breeder Placement Program is not involved in any way with the sale or placement contract. All transactions are between the seller and receiver. Should a dispute arise it is to be resolved between the seller and receiver. We strongly suggest you have the applicant fill out a questionnaire and sign a contract.
Should a written complaint be received that challenges your compliance with the Code of Understanding the Committee will review it. The Committee will advise you of the complaint and ask that you respond. The Committee will then decide if we will continue to accept your postings.
I have read the above Code of Understanding and agree to abide by the rules and regulations.
